Co-inventor of the core patents. Long-standing leadership experience in Italian and international industrial companies focused on power plant equipment, including nuclear – from engineering through to commissioning. The prototype is being built at his site in Bergamo.
Thermodynamics, redesigned — on a growing patent portfolio.
Zero Emission Technologies builds systems for emission-free power, heat and cooling in the 12 to 500 kilowatt range, modularly combinable up to 5 MW. At its core: a patented, reversible thermodynamic cycle using supercritical CO2 as working fluid.
Investment overviewThe patented triangular cycle.
A novel closed and reversible thermodynamic cycle with the highest conversion efficiency among conventional comparison cycles (CRC, CCGT, ORC, Brayton), in a compact design. It generates green electricity, heat and cooling with no fossil fuel input – protected by one granted patent in Italy, applications pending in Europe and Germany, and two further patent families in preparation.
Fewer losses. Higher output.
Conventional cycles – CRC, CCGT, ORC and Brayton – use wet-vapour phases and lose exergy during evaporation and condensation of the working fluid. The thermodynamic benchmark is the Carnot cycle.
In the supercritical hybrid triangular cycle the working fluid undergoes no phase separation. The HDP operates without an evaporator and without a condenser. Thermal energy input is therefore up to 70 % lower than the state of the art.
Ideal changes of state compared
In the p,V work diagram the area 1–2–3 enclosed by the HDP is a multiple of the Carnot work area 1–2–3–4. It corresponds to the mechanical work Wt delivered by the HDP.
In the T,s heat diagram the Carnot cycle forms a large rectangle 1–2–3–4 whose area equals the net converted heat QCarnot. By comparison the HDP heat triangle 1–2–3 is up to 50 % smaller than that rectangle (Q23 + ΔU12): the HDP draws up to 50 % less thermal energy than the Carnot reference cycle.
Capacity, design, deliverability.
Target capacity classes: small-scale 12–150 kW for commercial and real estate applications, large-scale 250–500 kW for industry and public operators. Twelve nominal models, modularly combinable up to 5 MW. Prototype completion Q4 2027 (TRL 6), series readiness Q2 2029.
The modular skid-mounted design enables short delivery dates and significantly simplifies transport, installation and commissioning.
Because the cycle is reversible, one and the same unit delivers electricity, heat and cooling – an ideal fit for decentralised and decarbonised energy systems.

Regulatory tailwind meets technical readiness.
CBAM, EU-ETS tightening and the "Fit for 55" package create short-term price signals for emissions reduction across industry and commerce. Addressable demand exists where low- and medium-temperature waste heat remains unused today.
Four founders. Four clear roles.
Two co-inventors carry the technology, a CFO the financial architecture, a COO the execution. The target structure is four equal partners holding 25 % each. The company was incorporated on 29 July 2026 by Manlio Molinari and Konstantin Janke with 50 % each; Klaus J. Herrmann and Rainer Hahn join in September 2026 with the conversion into a startup innovativa.
Co-inventor of the core patents. An experienced process engineer for thermodynamic processes, he leads prototype development, engineering and the TRL roadmap. KIT Karlsruhe provided the scientific validation of the thermodynamic design.
